Sizing on Specialized Mtn Bike Shoes Different

I typically take a 40, but the american sizing that Specialized shows is a 7.5, and I am an 8.0 american.

I know a lot of you gals own specialized shoes, just some input around the sizing as well as if you have taken a narrow, as they offer it.

I have the Riata in a 38EU / 7.5US - at least that's what is says on the box and in my shoes - I typically take a 7 and have a rather wide foot but the 7.5 fits perfectly.

Just to confuse you even more--I have 2 pairs of Specialized MTB shoes. One is a 40, and the other a 40.5. So, within their own brand, the size varies. In street shoes, I'm an 8.5, eu 39.

The ones that run really small are the BG pro carbon. Hope that helps!
