We spent 6 days touring Maine. Started in Portland went as far as Belfast about 47 miles a day and stayed off hwy 1 as much as possible. A few BNB's I would recomend to anybody wanting to tour Maine.

Packard House in Bath Maine, Inn at Round Pond at Round Pond Maine, and the Jeweled Turret in Belfast Maine.

    Great week and weather

I went up to maine & kayak toured for a week in August - absolutely gorgeous. I wished I had brought my bike, because I've never seen so many bike tourers in my life...

I did not keep a blog and yes, i do have pictures I will need to down load. This was kind of a last minute idea. We had booked a flight into Portland because we had miles to use. We did this trip self supported and rented bikes once we landed. It was my first cycling trip and I must say a great way to see the country side. We did 45-50 miles a day..
