Okay, if I'm confessing...2 glasses. Preferably red wine since it's healthy.

What did I eat today...so far a bowl of great grains with soy milk, and at break I had a cup of black coffee. Lunch is at Chipotle today so it'll be a burrito bowl with guac...YUM!!
Once I started cycling and lifting weights, I had to increase my caloric intake by about 500 calories because I kept gaining weight on my prior 1400 calorie/day "diet". It feels like a real chore for me to hit 1900-2000 calories a day, especially with healthy food. But, I started dropping weight once I did.

    Today I've had/plan to have:

B: cinnamon raisin bagel with 2 TBSP light cream cheese, coffee + creamer

    S: strawberry nutrigrain bar

L: Salad with grilled chicken and a diet pepsi

S: an apple with a TBSP of peanut butter

D: Leftover Kielbasa with scalloped potatoes

hmm.. according to livestrong, I'm only at 1300 calories, and tonight's a ride night. crap. Guess I'll throw in some ice cream for dessert and a pre-ride snack.

Here's a general healthy eating guide:

It's anyone's guess as to how all the highly processed 'foods' we Americans tend to eat would fit into these categories.

I had one of my left over mushroom and black bean whole wheat burritos for lunch, with an apple. snack was string cheese.
When I got home, I ate one slice of whole wheat bread with a little soy nut butter. Then I went for a 2-3 mile hike in the conservation land, including an uphill portion that is about a 25% grade at 2 points.
Dinner was one chicken breast, rubbed with curry powder, with an apricot jam/lemon juice sauce, sauteed in olive oil. I ate about a cup of whole wheat couscous, and a salad with romaine, grape tomatoes, and a tsp of vinagrette dressing. I did have a glass of red wine and my dessert was as always, 2 squares of dark chocolate.

    Today:

"pre-breakfast" (oh-dark-30 before a breakfast meeting) - 2 slices light whole wheat toast with homemade apple butter
breakfast - steel cut oats with 1/2 banana and 1 T brown sugar
snack - yogurt, coffee with chocolate soy milk
lunch - Flatout light Italian wrap with 3 oz turkey, lettuce, mushrooms
    snack - grapefruit
dinner (as soon as I get home from work will be...)- 4 oz fish simmered with tomatoes, mushrooms & onions. Wild rice. Steamed broccoli & cauliflower. Big green salad with homemade balsamic vinaigrette. Depending upon my mood, I may skip the rice in favor of red wine. I only have 6.5 WW points left to spend on dinner, so I can't have both.
