I used to grow it and dry it myself, but then I moved and have not restarted growing it. Maybe next summer.

I found some packets in the sugar section of the grocery store. Called Stevia In The Raw. Same folks as Sugar In The Raw. Smallish green box with packets. Not too bad in my tea and cereal. I have not bought it in bulk for baking, though.

Today I am riding both in and back to/from work, for a total of 60 miles, and yesterday I ran eight. Tomorrow I ride 30 and run 3. So I "get" to fuel up.

    a.m. quaker granola with milk
    black coffee

once at work I had fresh fruit salad, cheese slices with oyster crackers (leftover from a meeting) water and gatorade

Lunch I had a chicken cordon bleu torpedo, small bag of sour cream and onion chips, diet coke, 2 chocolate chip cookies.

    Snack: 5 hersheys miniatures

Dinner: meatloaf, homemade mac and cheese, and brussel sprouts... water and more water.

    Prbly round 8K calories.
I can do five more miles.

    Today:
Breakfast: bowl of cereal with 1% milk...at 11am. Oops.
    skipped lunch (see above).
Snack: venti pumpkin spice latte (need the caffeine--I have a biochem test on Wednesday!) and a slice of pumpkin bread.
Dinner: leftover ravioli (mixture of beef and ricotta) in tomato sauce, an Odwalla juice thing (pomegranate limeade--yum!) and a salad (planned)
Dessert--small square of rice crispy treat (one of my roommates was bored).

I'll probably have a cup of tea with DBF later this evening.

B- 1 c. of oatmeal with abit of skim milk
    fresh plum
    tea with skim milk

    snack- 1 multigrain raspberry scone
    coffee with milk

snack 2- small slice of rosemary bread, 2 rye crackers
    1 peach
    tea with skim milk

Supper- pasta sauteed with beet greens, gai lan (belongs in mustard green family. It's a Chinese veggie.), red pepper, onion, garlic, ginger root, a dab of chili paste and abit of soy sauce. I cobbled this together with no recipe --amazingly filling, even kind of meaty in taste. Hard to explain this.. A colourful dish too.

B.- oatmeal with milk, a fresh plum

Then 2 hrs. later at 10:00 am had lunch (questioning my own sanity) at a gourmet bakery cafe:
    Lunch
    latte with skim milk
paninni sandwich with roasted veggies & goat cheese
dessert of pistachio sour cherry chantilly cream pastry.

Snack of more fresh plums and tea with milk

    Supper planned for:
    homemade leek and potato soup

Pretty cavalier to use the excuse it's a thxgiving weekend for eating like this. Tomorrow planning on a long bike ride where at end of day will be supper with friends at a Malayasian restaurant. Menu has alot of red chili icon-marked dishes. Yay!!

This is what I ate yesterday, a pretty typical day for me.

B- steel cut oats with raisins, maple syrup and 1% milk

B part deux-(after I arrive at work) whole wheat English muffin with Neufchatel cheese. I usually eat 2 breakfasts.

L-small Eggplant grinder (you may call that a hero or submarine where you live) from pizza place.

    D-spaghetti with tomato/veggie sauce (2 helpings).

snacks through the day- grapes, a tangerine, a kiwi fruit and some almonds. Organic ice cream sandwich for dessert.

I know I should have had a salad, too. I do eat them regularly.

I was a very, very bad girl today... we ate brunch at a local winery. Yes, that means I drank wine. On the menu was pecan-crusted salmon, southern fried chicken, gorgonzola mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, spinach salad with strawberries and walnuts and a brown sugar vinegarette. OMG -- to die and go to heaven. For desert was cheesecake, key-lime tarts and chocolate covered strawberries.

    Oatmeal with PB and raisins.

    Plenty of Sencha green tea.

    Warm blueberry-pomegranate juice.

(Maybe there's a small handful of almonds in here, I don't quite remember. )

Leftover gobhi masala (local cauliflower, garlic and onions, and homegrown hot peppers), masoor dal & rice.

A mixture of rice syrup and barley malt syrup and a pinch of sea salt in my gel flask on my long run.

Risotto with local lima beans, onion and garlic, and homegrown red Russian kale, with some imported parmigiano reggiano and aged balsamico on the side, and local white Cabernet Franc.

I did pretty good today. Maybe some of those amazingly delicious local grapes before bedtime.

    pancakes with maple syrup. Mmmmmm.
small cuppa coffee with milk and real sugar. mmmm. Sundays are my coffee days.
bit of that awesome greek yogurt. mmmmm

no lunch; I wasn't hungry til about 3.

Then I had a burrito with rice, black beans, beef, guacamole and salsa. And a coke. I was really hungry at that point! I shoulda had an apple earlier.

I had a bit of leftover spinach calzone with tomato sauce for a late snack. And most of a big bottle of Pellegrino sparkly water. I love that stuff! And a bit more of that greek yogurt.

    next time: Eat More Fruit!
