the firemen have just broken your front door down, and they are putting out the fire on your roof.
15 kms.. home in 32 minutes.
(they put the fire out, but neighbor guy's house is gutted. thank the good lord that nobody was hurt and my pets are fine. phew...)

that is some incentive to race home! Hope you don't have too much water damage in your house and all you need is a new front door. And maybe some valium for the pets? Sorry about your neighbor's house.

overall, everything is ok. the front entry needs quite a bit of work. we're getting a new roof. the basement is flooded, and the insurance company took everything away to dry/repack while they deal with the water down there. the house smells a bit like a wiener roast...
the dogs are still acting strange, especially the puppy.
it's been pretty stressful, but in the end it was an amazing miracle that we are not homeless. if the house wasn't brick, i don't think that i would be able to say that.
