Any advise as to what I should look at?

What should a good flyweel weight be?
I have had a look at the Schwin bikes.. just because I know the Brand.. but I am going to use it as my home spinning bike.. So do not need top of the range.
All your suggestions will be appreciated.

I would check ebay. Also, check with your local gyms. They may have a spinning bike or two they'd like to sell. The old Schwinn bikes are the sturdiest ones I've seen.
The Journey is the Reward.
Best bikes are made by Star Trac.
The best bikes are Bodybikes for sure... if you are from New Zealand and know Les Mills RPM cycle classes, they recommend and use Bodybikes. They are pricey though! I purchased a star trac at home for myself second hand from a gym clearance and it's great. Chain driven. Not as smooth as a Bodybike, but I'm saving up for one! Make sure whatever you buy it is fully adjustable... seat height and forward/back, and the same with the handlebars: height and forward/back positions.
Here is the link to Les Mills talking about Bodybikes:

Also ask your local gym that has spin classes. We sell our old bikes when we get new ones in. same with our treadmills and elypticals.
Also, Costco will be having a sale on a Lifespan spinning bike beginning March 11 - April 3. The cycle has gotten good reviews from what I've seen.
