Hello ladies. I am a new member (lurked for a few days) and a new owner of a Trek 7.5 WSD. Well, it is ordered and on its way here. I decided I wanted to ride to work (4.2 miles) and I saved my tips all winter to buy a bike. I test rode a few bikes last fall but couldn't decide what I wanted. My neighbor was gracious and let me borrow her Trek 1500 WSD for a few days, and that as all I needed to make a decision. This is a great forum, I like the support and comraderie here. I am a little tentative to ride on a busy street just yet, but I'm sure I will get more accustomed to the traffic.

Welcome to the site! Riding with other more experienced riders is a great way to get used to riding in traffic, plus it's safer. I guess you may not be able to do that to ride to work, but maybe you can find some group rides to get involved in aside from work, or find a friend to ride with. Just some thoughts.
Welcome!!!
