Very cool - I would enjoy reading a magazine with pictures of women cyclists in it who aren't bean pole models who have not been on a bike since they were 11 years old! NICE!

    Womens cycling magaazine coming out

Hopefully things go well for them!! I have subscribed, so hopefully many others will support their efforts as well. I've sent the info to most of my women customers.

Nope, no sign yet. And the website doesn't offer any real publication info, as far as I can see. Just a subscription sign-up, a list of three staff folks, and a few blog entries.

Their adds are mostly blank and their subscription area is non-functioning.... I would not be surprised if they have no money to actually publish.

    Womens cycling magazine

I received an email from Carson Blume today that mentioned that the magazine was behind schedule no kidding Anyway, supposedly the magazine will be on the stands and in our mail boxes in the next couple of weeks.

I suggested that he email people with whom he had email addressess and let them know this. So hopefully we'll be overjoyed with this new magazine

Someone tell them blank ad spaces look bad, an easy fix would be fill them with ads for THEM that link to contact their advert department. Oh, maybe they have no money for an advertising sales rep? They ought to fill those spots in PDQ.

I saw their van at the Cascade Classic last week - they are out there working on it.

    Mine came today!

I think it is an admirable first effort, though my first impression was that they did not have enough material.... While oversized magazines can be impressive, I'd have rather seen them go with a smaller format and not make the type so large. (not to mention that mine came with the cover nearly pulled off probably because the non standard size and rather thick cover stock was caught in a postal sorting machine)

Overall there is some very nice photography and some well written articles (very nice Gnat!) and I'm hoping they keep it up and I'm looking forward to seeing them learn and grow.
