Just wanted to see if i can get some help on choosing a good road bike. I currently ride mountain bikes but want something for the road. I went to the local bike shop and they recommended the specialized dolce.. Anyone have any thoughts on this bike. Or does anyone have any other bikes i could look at. Im 5"2 very athletic i like a good challenge and i want a good bike not to pricey but something i can see myself riding for few years and doing well on.

    HELP

i want to stay under 1200 if thats possible and yes i have ridden drop bars before..

The Specialized Dolce has the same geometry as some much more expensive bikes. If it fits you and your budget, I say go for it!

That's the bike I bought last year for myself and I really love it.

I have the the Dolce Sport and it has been good to me. I wish I had bought the next level up but I didn't know much about bikes at the time or have a lot of money.

I can recommend an affordable entry level flat bar road bike

I think ou're looking to buy at a good time. My shop always has a sale in april to clear out stock.

Too bad, you just missed a deal on a nice bike (my old one). I really did want it to go to someone on TE but that's done and done now

I bought the Trek 2.1 WSD last year and I'm very happy with it. Rides like a dream. I test road the Specialized Dolce and really liked it too, but it was slightly more money with out any realy strong benefits over the Trek.
