    I saw Santa this morning.....!

I was driving in to work a few minutes later than usual this morning (commuting season is about 3-4 months away for me) and could not believe my eyes!
At one of the intersections, I could see what looked like a string of lights on the corner where pedestrians would normally wait for the light to change. When I got closer, I realized that it was a MTB with a trailer, all decked out with Christmas lights - battery operated, I guess, but they sure were bright! And Santa - suit, hat and all - was riding the bike!
Apparently this fellow is a bike commuter and pretty much rides all year long. That is no small accomplishment up here as the temperature was -15 degrees Celsius this morning (and that's before wind chill)! Word is that he often decorates his bike/trailer according to the season or holiday.
Kind of made my day - had a smile on my face the rest of the way in.

A bunch of friends of mine started this in Montreal four years ago. I was there for the first ride, there were five guys or so.

They have grown quite a bit now!

    Grog - that's a great idea - a Santa ride!
Gotta do something when its so flippin' cold! Might as well have fun with it.

JFK usually shops with them too. He was probably looking for the best deal on beer.
