    BikeMo

I thought there was another thread where we were all discussing who would be here but I can't find that one now. Seems like there will be 3 or 4 of us. How will we know each other? My bike is distinctive enough I could post a picture of it.

And Pyannyplayer had her Trek painted pink, so she should be easy to find too. I still have detention.

I will be trying to meet up with Melalvai.

I'm on a Trek that is black and turquiose/white fleck.

I will be wearing a Primal Wear white with blue and green design jersey and orange and black descente shorts.

I'm just doing the 36 (they say forty, but the cue says 36).

Sorry you guys didn't get to go. You missed a good show. Ask Melalvai! I fell into a ditch about 10 ft down and smacked myself up pretty good. She came to my rescue and helped me out of the ditch barefoot because I could not get out with my cleats on.

That was around mile 50 lol.

Two CBC'ers picked me up and took me back to the finish. I am glad I didn't attempt to ride because my leg was pretty banged up and swollen. Ick.

Other than that, it was pretty fun and uneventful (and even then, I still had a great time!) Maybe next year?

Definitely next year. I'm just wondering, if it was fairly uneventful for you, and you fell in a ditch and banged up your leg, what would you consider eventful? Congrats on riding 50 miles. There are some pretty good hills on that route.

Well, I thought it was eventful but for the most part the events happened to other people, like you!

I was really glad you didn't get back on and ride because the next SAG that I was SURE was less than 2 miles away? 3 or 4 miles. I was convinced they'd packed it up and gone home already.

Then I was pretty sure the entire town of Holts Summit had packed up and moved too. Because I thought it was only 10 miles from the last SAG stop, and it was more like 15.

I posted a complete ride report here:

Yeah, riding back, I was like, it's a good 15 miles back from the SAG. Even the couple I rode with said it was more than 10 miles. So, yes, I am glad I didn't get back on. I would have been in WAY too much pain! I have a huge bruise, but I am okay. Stopped by walt's before going home to get a new helmet so I didn't have any excuses.

Hope there isn't too much more soreness today and that you are feeling better. Glad you weren't hurt more than you were!

Thanks guys. And to answer the question about what is serious, I used to show horses and have been in wrecks where horses fell on me, where I was thrown into a jump, etc. So, that wasn't too bad.

I rode to work today and did fine. It was SO good being back on the bike!

Wish I'd thought to ask sooner. Is anyone doing this tomorrow? I'll be there. PM me! I'll check early early early. I have to leave at 5 am or something ridiculous to get there for check-in.
