Just a few days after my eleventh birthday I lost my grandma to kidney failure brought on by diabetes. It was heartbreaking on several levels, all complicated by its occurrence during my parent's divorce. A while back I did the Diabetes Walk in drizzling rain with Team Mobile from T-Mobile. It was a blast because we got to bring the dogs. Hank my aussie mountain biking buddy wanted to go forward, and Lucky my "love sl*t" wanted to see if the people behind us would pet her. It kept things interesting.

Anyway, I've signed myself up for the metric century which physically I may regret, but I think grandma will keep me pedaling. My hopes that my current employer would help me rally for sponsors has been destroyed, and I'm way below my goal. So here I am amidst all the rest, looking for some kindly sponsors. You can check out my page and my whole story here:

    Thanks in advance!
