so i'm leaving sunday to ride from barcelona to rome along the sea and was wondering if anyone had ever done it and if so if they had any suggestions for things to do, places to stay or eat, or even how the ride/roads is/are.

never done it, but i hope you will come back and tell us about it. The one thing i do know is that drivers in Spain and Italy are a lot kinder and more tolerant of bicyclists even if they do drive like they're nuts

You'll be going through France. I rode through Southern France and it was a dream... as Mimi said the drivers are much more tolerant. I loved Southern France and would go back to cycle in a heartbeat.

    Sounds like a phenomenal trip!

If you end up deciding to head inland a couple of hours to Florence, PM me. I'll set you up with a great B&B, incredible riding... and oh the food!

brittmix - I just did 5 days cycling in Corsica in April...as said above the drivers are WAY more tolerant. Many actually cheer you on - it was kinda cool. You'll have an amazing time and will see alot of other cyclists. The only bad thing I experienced was the dollar...falling and falling and falling.........

Have a great trip and let us know how it was.
