uber bike store in dusseldorf, germany

My partner went for a ride in Dusseldorf with a cousin's hubby who has become fairly good as a cyclist.

He was taken to a 3-LEVEL bike store that he knows for certain we could have spent well over 1/2 day in there happily. He was overwhelmed.

Now if someone could tell me where the women's stuff is in the online catalogue..I'm curious.

Rose Versand (rose.de) is the ticket. They send out a huge catalog.
they have their own line of bikes including WSDs. (Red bull is the brand name)

    This, right?

    We've ordered from them.

Holy smokes, that is a huge looking place! I have to ask him..he's heading towards Koln.

No wonder why he was overwhelmed. I would have drooled at a place to be there for hrs. and hrs. I have to look at their catalogue..with his translation help..when he comes home next weekend.

Duesseldorf now, Koln next... how far is he planning to follow the Rhine for? The area from Koln to about Bingen or so is beautiful. Even down to Mainz is worth doing. I've traveled it by foot, car, and train and if I ever get back there I'd like to bike it too.

He will be leaving Koln in 12 hrs...on his way to Koblenz. He is taking a bike route that follows along the Rhine.

KatH you will thank yourself for knowing German next time you ride...he was at the train station at Muenster. Most of the train announcements were in German...he found he missed a train which they didn't announce its changed pickup track.. Any English over the PA system at that station, he found it not useful. If he had not understood German, he might have been hanging around at that station abit longer. Not a big deal, since there were alot of frequently run trains.

thank you for the link, alpine. I'm just curious to see their range of choice. He said the children's section was alot bigger than expected.

It appeared there was tight security there..a number of goods had to be requested from behind counter. Also when he got his $25.00 euro pair of sunglasses, one of the staff took the glasses and escorted him to the cashier. This is done for all customers.

I can't explain this, but just a gut reaction..it feels abit paranoid, traditional German and in response a highly organized way of dealing with it. I'm sure there were problems of theft.
