Hmm. If I can find a friend to go with me - it's a long ways away from Vancouver - I find this really tempting!

Looks like the Park Service has graciously allowed 300 riders for this event. 225 for the century, 75 for the metric. http://craterlakecentury.com
Anybody game? Sadie Kate? I think I am signing up! I need a challenge for this year.

Hmmm, it says online registration is no longer available. Has anyone tried it?

Crater Lake is a beautiful ride. If you miss out on the century there are loads of places to park on Crater Rim Drive and you could do the ride on your own. if you go in late June (like we did last year) there is a good chance the road may still have parts closed to vehicles but open to bicycles.

I just called Travel Klamath and they said the Active.com registration has not been activated yet. It will be in the next week.

I did!
Active.com would allow me to change our info in my profile (since we've moved since the last time I used it) but when I'd click to register for the event, all the old information came up. When I'd click to edit it again, I'd see the new stuff. I just went ahead and registered anyway, so some of my info is current and some is old. I don't think it'll matter as long as they get my money!

Have fun all you northwesterners. I went to Crater Lake for my honeymoon stayed at the lodge there and rode my mountain bike around the lake. It is awesomely beautiful. Hope you all take the time to enjoy the scenery.

I sent this link to DH with the subject title of "This looks like fun" to which he replied "7540 feet of climbing looks like fun? I didn't know about this fetish before we got married." I guess we're going to pass.
