What is the biggest lie you've ever told: I maybe stupid, but I ain't crazy.

Most memorable moment on my bike: I just got back into riding in Aug of this year and had forgotten how much I enjoyed it. Have not had many rides, yet always working. Just weekend jaunts around the park.

Most fun ever had on a bike? When I was a teen we would ride bikes from our house to the rockies " Garden of the Gods" in Colorado about 20 miles, through the beautiful red rocks. We would spend all day there, talking and drinking beer. I hope to go back there, maybe this summer. Hope I can make it up the mountain like I used to.

    Re-introduction

Hello again everyone! I fell off the planet...

I did the NYCC training series in the spring, got turned down for a job with Backroads, worked 6 days a week in the summer then worked in Italy for 3 months without a bike (nor funds to get one.)

I'm back in NYC and althought I really like NY, I think the timing is right for me to move on back to San Francisco. I spend more time looking at webcams of SF than out in the hustle 'n' bustle of NYC.

I look forward to finding friends in the cycling community there!

If anyone in the city is looking for a roommate for Feb 1, please let me know! :-)

    Welcome Orion,

We have a lot of the horsie sect on this site so you'll feel right at home. I'm partial to TBs myself, but those T-walkers are quite the ride!

    Hey ladies,

I'm a newcomer on here. I enjoy long walks on the beach, picnics, comfy keyboards, my teva flip flops, and good bread. lol...wanted to say hello and hopefully I have a lot to offer everyone on here. I'm a Cat 4 racer, this is my second year racing AND riding. I've done a lot of research in nutrition, training, weight lifting, and physiology. Let me know if you have any questions directly otherwise I'll try and add as much to these threads to "share the wealth".

    Have a great day

Orion - I grew up riding. I rode for about 10 years until a stupid car accident that prevent(s) me from riding anymore. My 16th birthday present was a full lease on the sweetest TB in the world who was an ex-race horse. I leased Willie for about 4 months and then my accident. I was soooooo freaking pissed.

The experiences that I've had with QHs is that their such smart asses. They're extremely intelligent and have way too much personality for their own good. One had to have like 5 locks on his stall door because he could get out of anything...nicknamed Houdini.

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: That didn't hurt.

Most memorable moment on my bike: Riding the Rockville Bench Trail outside of Zion National Park a few years ago. Husband and I had never ridden on slickrock before, beats the heck out of the soggy trails around here.

    Welcome aboard Equus & hikeandbike!

Equus, I know what you mean about the houdini thing! My TWH's don't seem to do that. They are pretty gentle and nothing really bothers them. I rode my bike today, tomorrow I will be on the horses! It's been in the 60's here and wonderful riding weather (horse and bike!)

I am sure I have some questions for all about training , nutrition and other things, but to tired right now. Thanks for the offer to share info! Can always learn something new and helpful.
