    Real name: Megan

    Where do you live? Souteast.

Explanation of your handle: It's a name a friend came up with to name his future bar to be located in Chicago, supposedly.

Explanation of your avatar: Me after a Human Anatomy and Physiology II final.

    Age (general or specific) 22

Occupation: Slacker. (I'm taking some time off from school.)

Favorite bike: My "slightly vintage" Bianchi.

What's in your stable? -My stable? I own a garage with some stuff in it...

Another picture of yourself or your ride? I have one. It's coming.

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: I can't remember, but I know it probably involved a guy and staying out later than I was supposed to when I was younger.

Most memorable moment on my bike: I haven't had enough exposure yet to have one.

Most fun ever had on a bike? Riding around with Susan, just talking.
    I enjoy it all.

Hi, I am new here, too! I am just getting into cycling as a way to liven up my fitness regime. I have been lifting weights and doing mostly indoor cardio for about 20 years, and really needed something new to do. My husband has been riding for a couple of years, so I have decided to join him on the road.

My husband bought me a Blue (that's the brand and the color!) RC.4 bike for Christmas. It's a great bike and probably like buying a Lippizan horse for a cowboy! It's light and fast and I like it a lot. I just need to get some miles under my belt, as I haven't ridden a bike on the road in about 10 years.

I have been reading the board and am impressed by the comaraderie, as well as the variety of riders here. I look forward to spending some time here as well.

    Have a great day!

    Southside Sally

    Real name: Brenda

Where do you live? Ithaca, NY

Explanation of your handle: It rains here a lot, and hence, I get pretty muddy when I'm riding single track

Explanation of your avatar: I have to get one first.

    Age (general or specific) 31

    Occupation: administrative assistant

    Favorite bike: Specialized RockHopper

What's in your stable? Specialized RockHopper and Trek 7100 Hybrid. I'm going to try to add a road bike later in the year. I used to have a Trek 1200WSD, but I sold it when I quit road riding.

Fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? 35mph, going down a hill somewhere on the northern and western shore of Seneca Lake in upstate NY. I have no idea where we were.

Another picture of yourself or your ride? Um..... nope, not at this time.

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: I generally don't lie because I am horrible at it. Even if I do lie, I end up confessing to it the next day.

Most memorable moment on my bike: When I finished a 84 mile ride around Cayuga Lake. Not quite a century, but it was my goal for the summer!

Most fun ever had on a bike? Whenever I'm on it!!

Like Jeannierides, I haven't checked out this part of the forums for a while, but Big Welcome to all the newcomers. Isn't it cool how international we are? Now all we need is a cyclist or two from the stars and we'll be universal.

Thank you mimitabby; I'm racing in Istanbul for the present. But I want to be able to race abroad in the future - when I decide I'm professional enough-. But we've women racers in different teams such as in Brisa, Sakarya, Ankara etc. Also we have got a national team too. I am in Istanbulspor now. I'm trying to improve myself to be the best.

Zuhal - welcome! I hope you do well in all your races. Please keep us posted on your progress - those of us who do not race can experience it through you!
