Although I was atrociously busy at work and had a cold, I still found time to put together my new ride. It's a Salsa Ala Carte with SRAM X.9 components. Most of the parts came from my Marin except for the new frame and components. I took it for it's maiden voyage this afternoon. I'm sure it's going to be great. I didn't ride hard since I felt like a slug.
The head tube is definitely shorter than my previous bike. This made going over logs very easy. I can't wait to climb with it.

I took it out for a small ride yesterday. Since I've been sick, I knew it wouldn't be a killer ride. I did a few logs easily and some bunny hops. Nothing too agressive. I'm going to a mtb festival in southern Illinois this weekend - I guess that will be it's first major event.
Nice bike!
Is the mtb festival the one the Revolution girls were talking about? I wanted to go but my schedule is pretty wacked out right now. Let us know how the new bikes handles...
liberty - Yes I'm going with Team Revolution. We should have fun. I think we are up to about 10 girls going. Can't wait to see how the bike really rides.
That is one hot mama!!
