    Training/fitness/food logs

I've been on Sparkpeople for some time, but haven't been logging anything lately. I have an account on bikejournal and one on traineo, but never used them much.

Sparkpeople doesn't allow you to log miles on the bike, just time. Same with traineo. Bikejournal doesn't allow you to track food. Tracking cycling simply by time is just not enough for me at this point.

Does anyone know of anything similar out there that allows you to track miles AND food? Maybe something bike specific? Maybe I'm asking too much?

    Thanks,
    Karen

Hmm I think beginnertriathlete.com has a section for logging nutrition. Not sure if it fits your criteria, but yoiu can pretty much log almost any activity you do on that, the list is very extensive.

Fitday.com allows you to track miles as well as time on the bike.

Oh yeah! I forgot about fitday! I'm already a member! lol. (I try everything once.)

I wonder if the Fitday PC software is worth it. My biggest complaint with most of these food databases is they don't include food I can get around here--like the kind of wheat bread I buy, etc. So I have to modify everything to match what I'm actually eating.

One good thing about Sparkpeople is you can take pictures of your food with your phone and include them in your log. So you know exactly what you ate. I don't upload pics, but I definitely use my camera phone to record what I ate so I don't forget it.

I had no idea you could do that at spark people.

I do love them, though. I've lost over 20 pounds since I joined in May. Something about logging food and time on the bike just motivates me.

“Hey, clearly failure doesn’t deter me!”
