    Just saw Shrek 3. It was very good. I want to see 'knocked up' - I hate the title, but it looks funny.

    Just rented Deja Vu with Denzel Washington- one of the most riveting movies I've seen in a long time- I didn't surf the interet, or read or play games- I just
    watched the movie--- it was good.
    A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

    Sports movie

    We just bought "Saint Ralph". It's about a 13 (?) year old boy who sets out to win the Boston Marathon. I laughed, I cried, I laughed some more.

    I have long since stopped going to a theater and now wait for DVD or On Demand for movie watching so some of these are alittle old but I highly recommend:

    CHILDREN OF GOD

    THE QUEEN

    CASINO ROYALE

    HAPPY FEET

    PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS

    PAN'S LABYRINTH

    300
    * * *

    Can't recommend:

    NOTES ON A SCANDEL

    ERAGON

    * * *

    Actually saw in Theater and liked but can't recommend:

    APOCALYTO
    BCIpam - Nature Girl

    local plug - DejaVu was filmed in "Hollywood South" - New Orleans. And if you cross the bridge adjacent to the French Quarter (the Crescent City Connection), you won't immediately wind up in the middle of a swamp. The other side of the bridge is more city. We enjoyed watching to try to figure out where places were/where the filming was done. Runaway Jury was also filmed here.

    Ditto.

    A sad aside regarding the movie: the director was killed in her NYC apartment not long after filming concluded. She also plays one of the other waitresses in it, too.

    I appreciate you guys coming up with movie titles, but synopsises are good too,
    right?
    we watched a Night at the Museum. a loser who has a 10 year old son who lives with mom and another man gets a job at the Museum of Nat. History in Manhattan. at night all the critters come alive. he has to keep bedlam from destroying the place. a little predictable, but fun.

    Recently saw (on Starz) "Proof" with Gwyneth Paltrow. REALLY liked it. DH thought it a bit odd, but that's okay; I like odd movies. Recommended, especially if you have any interest in math, but even if not.

    For those of you who like "family films" and love animals, "Duma" is a beautiful South African adventure film about "coming home"; "I Am David" is another film about a boy finding his mother after escaping from a post WW II Bulgarian labor camp, and for those who like music, "The Chorus" is a French film with a beautiful story line and boys' choir music. All of these films are a couple of years old.

    I loved that movie. I haven't seen many lately, so no recommendations. The last one I saw was "The Last King of Scotland." It was interesting but very brutal and not for the faint of heart. It's about Idi Amin. A bio of the man through the eyes of his Scottish physician.
