Since we ladies spend so much time discussing saddle issues, I thought I'd share this:

Professor Kickstand's Cycling Advice

Q: Dear Professor: I have the world's most uncomfortable bicycle seat. Is there anything I can do to solve the problem?
-Ralph P., Sopchoppy, FL

A: Dear Ralph: Absolutely. Ride to a neighborhood creek and collect several dozen small rocks-about an inch across is the right size. Now stuff the back pockets of your pants with the rocks, as many as can fit. Then climb aboard
your bike and ride for one hour or ten miles, whicheve comes first. Get off the bike, empty your pockets (be sure to put the rocks in a safe place where no one will trip over them), and get back on your bike.
Your seat will immediately feel more comfortable. Some riders may need to repeat the procedure for best results.
