30 pounds, that's a lot of extra cash! If I do the US math, that's like 60 bucks. I wish I could save 60 bucks by riding my bike. Nice!

Took slightly longer this morning as I stopped at the shop, went a slightly different route and was carrying a 4pt carton of milk in my backpack (phew!!!)
Coming home was quicker this time. Went the same way I came into town (yesterday I went up the other road). Took 19 minutes so that is 6 minutes quicker than yesterday.
I've also saved £12 in fares which will go towards my new bike. If I commute every day next week, I will have an extra £30 towards the new bike
There are a lot of unwanted, unloved bikes out there - go on give a bike a good home

I like your savings program. Kind of how my mother bought a typewriter in 1957 by not smoking cigarettes for a year. good luck.
