After checking out the route last week, I was able to bike to work this morning and took the long way home tonight. aaaahhhhh... you hear that, its the sound of satisfaction!

i had a guy walk by while i was locking up my bike at work and say "well someone is going to be feeling good all day" and yep he was right!

i guess this city life isn't so bad after all. i may actually get use to it.

Congrats on the ride today. I'm so happy for you. I hope your feet are feeling ok tonight. How are the biker legs coming along? How far of a commute is it for you? How's about some pics of Anchorage, hmmm?

Btw, Kit wants to know if there are *hic* any cobblestone streets on *hic* your commute? *hic* (she's pretty happy at the moment )

    Yay for you !

Good for you, and doesn't it make you feel great?
I'm new too, so you are encouraging me too.

I rode last Thurs, (first time) Fri, and Mon. Yesterday was very rainy all day so I skipped, and I missed it! But we do need the rain. Rain again today, but I should be able to ride Thurs & Friday again.
How about you? Do you pack a back pack with clothes, lunch, etc? What are you taking with you/leaving at home? Thanks!

Way to go CWR. How are your feet feeling? Legs coming back yet?

the feet are sore today. and have been a bit sore lately.

been having weird leg pains, but i think they are more of the pain of "excuse me? what are you doing?" the cycling legs are trying to come back, but i have a feeling it may take a while.

oh ya pictures... i'll work on that. i know, i know i keep saying that, but really i will.

x will you take kit two aspirin today so she feels a little better. no cobblestone that i've found so far. round trip taking the long way is about 11 miles, it can be longer, but with the feet and legs in the condition they are i figured i'd take it easy.

thanks for all the good thoughts!

Kit- Anchorage never had cobblestone streets, we don't have suitable rock- but we did have wooden boardwalks/sidewalks- then along came a big earthquake...although you can still find wooden boardwalk/sidewalks in many Alaskan coastal towns. As for bumby roads, we have a never ending supply of potholes!
