I expect I'll start riding soon but today I came home and the mutt and I took a long walk. She's a happy dog!

We just did the same thing - took the dog for a hike up the Dipsea steps. PP wants to ride her bike with me after work one night. Cool!

    And it's so warm...

hate to rain on your parade, but it was just getting light enough to tempt me to ride to work... Now it's pitch black again.

    sigh...

Yeah same here, will be running in the dark tomorrow morning at 7.

But it's nicely light at 7pm so that's okay.

Same here(dark at 7 but I'm not a runner), it will adjust in a few weeks and then we'll forget about it til the next time change when it gets dark early again.

To celebrate the season change, I actually commuted in today!! First time since October 30th! Yay for me!
I left a bit later than normal - 7:10 by the time I hauled my carcass out of the driveway, instead of the usual 6:45 I aim for each time. So light was just peeking over the horizon. Had my Illuminite tights on, along with my blinky lights and light lenses on the glasses. It was fine - and bright by the time I got to the office.
Ahhhhhhh....Such a release to ride to work again!

We don't "spring forward" until 25th March and I can't wait - course the dark mornings will be a pain for a week or two but hey ho

Won't be long until we're out doing evening MTB rides without lights.

Well, yes. Technically, yeah....it's still winter. But I view moving the clocks ahead - even if it is pushed up a bit early this year - as a rite of spring.
Off winter time.....on summer time = season change.
Plus...it's so beautiful out today here in MD, that it definitely has a touch of spring in the air. I don't care what the calendar says!!!

NOT IN ARIZONA unless you live on the Rez! This is such a backward state in some ways.

I'm so excited, today will be my first half-commute since last September. I'm riding home from work, then taking the bus in tomorrow. Its still dark, cold, and frosty in the mornings, so no round trips until probably May, but I'll take what I can get. I cannot wait until 5 o'clock today!
The best part about going up hills is riding back down!

    I'm sick!

How do I celebrate daylight savings? Being miserable and sick. Huge case of bronchitis. Can't breath, can't ride and pulled a muscle in my back from coughing so much. And to really rub salt in the wound we had the first truly beautiful day of the year today.

DH keeps reminding me this will pass, but damm! I want to ride, or at least take a breath without my lungs screaming. OK, done whining, still don't feel any better, sigh . . . bikerHen
