It was pretty for a demonstration forest (better than Jackson State Forest in Mendocino). But there were pine/redwood needles all over the trails and you had to be careful not to slip.
Thank you Velogirl for the suggestion about other postings. I guess it's even more obvious now that I'm not a cross rider.

That's very interesting about the Demonstration State Forests. You probably knew that before. Thanks for the traffic heads up. I don't know when I would even try doing it - now I probably won't!
