These are very good times from the men and reasonable times from the women considering (for those of you not familiar with NZ roads) that our roads are sealed with a much coarser chip than many roads in Europe, America – in fact, in most other countries… most of you know - the coarser the road, the slower the ride...
This has been most noticeable to us when riders from other countries have looked at our race times and arrived here thinking they would blitz our elite racers – only to find that it is much tougher on our roads than they assumed.
