    03. Climbed a mountain I've climbed many...Most recently Tryfan in Wales. Great fun, and we got to see the rescue helicopter do a rescue on the way down which was very exciting (fallen climber, luckily not too seriously injured)

    06. Held a tarantula Dad had one preserved in a glass ball as a paper weight, does that count?

We brought Alice in Wonderland and read out loud to each other in the car.

    He's grown since you moved away, my dear. He's now 6' 6 1/2". Be careful of your neck when you try looking him in the eye next week.
    Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.
