    Mt Diablo Saturday 10/21?

Since the weather is supposed to be good, I need to get off my expanding derriere and ride the mountain this weekend. And check out the newly paved summit road too.

Meet at Arbolado Park at 10.

Let me know if you're interested, since I otherwise won't be stopping by the park. Anyone?

We're supposed to volunteer at the National Park tomorrow. But Thom is behind on some project thing for work. So we may not go. But I won't know until tomorrow morning.

whines....oooh, the weather is so nice.

But a good friend is testing for her black belt at the Aikido dojo, I promised to be there. I might ride there, do the class, ride back. Can't be two places at once, sigh.

I'm going to do MT then Diablo tomorrow.

    Diablo again on Sunday.

Thom's decided he has to work tomorrow. Stupid SAP...Sunday he's doing a motorcycle photo shoot on the mountain. I figure it will be good to ride two hard rides back to back to test out this whole long brevet idea.

From the South Gate side? I'll keep an eye out for you - uh, pink helmet streaking by, whether uphill or downhill - got it.

Yeah, from the south side. I expect to be at the Athenian noonish. I can never remember how long it takes to get from MT to the south gate. A guy from the local club is going to ride with me. I've never ridden with him before. Company will be good though.

It's been pointed out to me by the linguistic monitors by "there" I mean the dojo.

I am not going to ride to Diablo, ride to the dojo, watch my friend test and ride back. Aw c'mon, it's me.

Just San Leandro folks, or maybe even just from San Leandro BART it's just so purhty outside. With a lil more notice I'd like to do Diablo (and New Mexico food) again.

Well, Gertrude Stein was talking about Oakland when using "there", so I guess San Leandro is close enough. Is there a there, there?

Guess I should stop taking quizzes and get on the bike.

I'm baaaack, Marinela took an incredible test.

I drove, didn't ride, I think I get points for plaintive whines when I saw riders go by the dojo (we're on a popular bike route).

Lesson learned: even though the Saturday class tends to be less intense than the regular class and even though I knew it'd be shorter than the usual 1 1/2 - 2 hours because of the tests .... I still gotta really eat before. You'd think I know that by now. How long have I been training?

But it was a great class, nice energy, got to train with some of my favorites there.

Now off to walk the doggie.
