    Question New and confused

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Hi, I haven't cycled outdoors in years. I Spin several times a week though and want to get back into riding outdoors.

My last bike was a mb, but I never really took it off road. I don't know what to look for in a bike. How do I know if I want a road bike, a mountain bike or a hybrid? Do I want a bike made for a women or is a man's bike okay?

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated!

Cupcake--As someone mentioned in another thread, "A Woman's Guide to Cycling" by Susan Weaver is an excellent resource. It covers everything from buying a bike to getting ready to go on a loaded tour.

I highly recommend this book. Your best defense against buying the wrong bike--or anything else--is to educate yourself.
    Happy shopping!
