    I know
I'd be wearing a fur suit if I tried laying on the floor here.

Does any furry creature ever really "need" a sweater? Really? Because my two terrier mixes are perfectly fine lying outside on the lawn furniture at 37 degrees (like now) when they could come right in through the doggie door and sleep on the warm couch where it's 67 degrees! They CHOOSE to be out there in the cold. So do the cats. I just don't understand dog sweaters! lol.

Oh, I dunno, probably not. But it makes me feel better.

I'm most worried about Ruby, who has liver cancer and shivers a lot.

My little dog needs one. She has very little body fat.
Big Girl seems to have an undercoat and loves the cold.

I've seen furry dogs shiver on cold days, so I think a sweater is a good idea. Probably depends on the dog. Cockers are special souls who need pampering.

Little Ruby should get whatever the little dear desires.

My old Jack Russell shivered a lot. We used to think she was cold, but eventually we concluded it was a tremor. People would even ask, "oh is she cold?" I'd just say, "no, probably just Doggie Parkinson's or something." One of her close relatives, at my dad's house, does it, too. Probably genetic.

I guess I'm going to have to shovel a spot for the girls to pee.
This seems to be too much snow for them.

I used to agree with you; but I have a 24 year old failing cat and he got a sweater just recently! He is only warm if he is sitting two inches away from the wood stove. And, I really mean, two inches! Sometimes, I have to push him back cause I'm afraid he's going to burn his little nose.

He is my little hospice kitty and boy does he do some crazy things.

He's a special case and he deserves anything he wants. I don't see my cats ever submitting to a sweater, though.

Little late reading this, but I have the same problem trying to do yoga at home--I call it "pet the cat" yoga. They are very attracted to the yoga mat.

Brandy - I love that Christmas picture of Ollie! That would make the best Christmas card, lol.
