Charles River Bike Path Gear

Has anyone biked the Charles River Reservation bike loop? I want to bike a relatively easy to moderate bike trail because I am taking a break from heavy terrain. I will be visiting a friend in Boston that liver near this trail and will be borrowing a bike so if the trail is easy I won't have to worry about not being my regular cycling gear.

I have not ridden on it, but it includes lots of very busy city type intersections and crossings. It could be crowded with commuters and students, depending on what part of the day you go.
It's not difficult, a total elevation of about 500 ft. in 20+ miles. The part near Newton and Waltham is more suburban.
