Is Sugoi stuff always so poorly made...? How are they about warranty support?

Or do I just have bad luck? I recently picked-up a pair of Sugoi RSE bibs because they are one of the few women's bibs that has the lazer-cut leg without any sausage-leg-inducing grippers. Washed and wore once and really like them. For $230 full retail I should. I found them on Amazon from a retailer selling them for $130, so they seemed like a particularly good deal. But when I went to put them on today I noticed that the chamois is coming unstitched from the short -- this is after just a single 20 mile ride and 2 washings.

I had a similar issue with a pair of RS shorts a few years ago. Those were not cheap shorts, either.

I'm bummed, since the retailer doesn't appear to have any more of the RSE bibs in my size and I can't find any deals on the 2014 model. I'm hoping maybe I can send them back directly to Sugoi so that I don't have to spend an extra $100 for a replacement pair.

FWIW, my RS shorts have a similar little issue in one spot, although mine are about a year old (although with only 4-5 months of wear and washing).
Yes, Sugoi has had some...er...quality control issues in the past years, especially with shorts. I can't say anything about their warranty/support, though. Good luck!

I did end up ordering a pair a size smaller from the same retailer, since they were even cheaper than the Ls I bought...and the L are just a hair loose pretty much all over. I figure the Ms will be a hair snug/compressive, but that will give me incentive to drop 5-10#s so that they fit perfectly (I actually have 20#s to lose, heh).

I must say that I'm getting annoyed by all of the "high end" shorts I've tried lately that have really lacked in quality beyond a ride or 3. I bought a pair of Castelli's top-of-the-line Body Paint bibs that fit like a dream, too, but after only a few rides are all saggy and rolling-up on the bottoms of the legs. I love that these shorts don't have aggressive grippers and don't cut into my thighs, but it seems like at $230 and $250 price points like these companies would make a flawless product. This is why I only buy these things when I can find a killer deal. If I actually paid full retail and had results like this I'd be out for blood.

Yeah, seriously. I got the Body Paint shorts because of an "oops, we goofed" on the part of the company I bought from. I wasn't too happy with my previous Castelli shorts, so I'm a little cautious about them. (Well, that, the chamois isn't my favorite, and I need to start riding again (or something) so that they'll fit properly again!) To be honest, I haven't been too thrilled with the quality of any of the Castelli products I've bought, with the peeling decals and whatnot.

The Sugoi thing...I got mine because they changed the Evolutions and I couldn't replace mine (your old ones from way back!), and I got them for much less than retail because of where I worked at the time. (You know where, but not saying it here!) I love the chamois and the fabric. Would I pay full retail for them? Probably not.
