Patuxent River Rural Legacy Ride - early registration ends soon

    To disable ads, please log-in.

FYI for anyone planning to do the Patuxent River Rural Legacy Ride on Saturday, June 16, early registration ends on May 31. Until then, the ride costs $15. Between June 1 and June 7 it is $20, and day-of registration is $30.

This is one of my favorite rides. The area is great for riding and it is always well-organized by the Oxon Hill club. I'll be doing the metric again this year, and there are also routes of 13, 27 and 45 miles

Wow. Looks like they really upped the on-site registration fee and have a no-registration gap from the 7th to the day of the event!

Normally, we'd wait to see what the weather was going to be like before deciding to go or not because the penalty for doing that was not significant. Looks like they're shutting the door on that option. Bummer.

It is a nice ride. I really like that they added Jug Bay as a rest stop. It's a haul to get down there - but it's much nicer than the old stop.

They're just trying to make it easier to plan for the ride.

I also like Jug Bay. And I think there will be some newly-paved roads on the route.

Well, this ride is the same day as our group's century ride - so looks like we'll be doing that. So once again, no PRRL ride for me.

    Have fun if you go.

Gosh I really want to do this! I just can't commit in advance - well, glad it is the kind of thing where you can register the day of. Thanks for posting the info though.
