My brevet cards came back all certified or whatever they do, from Paris today. Also three of the four medals. (The 200k is delayed). They are _gorgeous!!!!!!_ I have to take a picture of them when I rescue the camera out of the truck when it stops raining.

Medals: The medals noting the successful completion of the brevets are: a bronze medal for 200 KM, a silver-plate medal for 300 KM, a vermilion medal for 400 KM, a gold medal for 600 KM, and a silver medal for 1000 KM. The design of the medals will change after each PBP.

I am such a doof! I never commented on this! HOW COOL!!! I am eagerly anticipating the pictures. I did not realize you got a medal for each one. Heck, in my opinion, you deserve to have them pinned on your chest on the steps of the Congress or something.

I love you guys. Doesn't matter how totally sucky and psycho my work gets, I can come home and drink 1/2 bottle of wine, turn on the computer and read thread drift. My faith in humanity returns.

I discovered another horrifying problem: we don't have the DVDs for those two movies. Popped off an Amazon order and they should be here early next week. The boys will be on their own as I will be in Springfield, MO for the week. Since Andrew can pretty much hold his own with Bubba for movie quotes, I dread to think what's going to happen when I get back.

I did a nice 45km ride tonight...The homemade lights aren't bad actually...I still want the double shots but will have to do some ebaying i think..

If you see any in your travels on ebay..let me know....They have them at our lbs but they''re $400!!!!

Fish....If the reunion was in california/washington/idaho/etc... i may consider it...We'd like to visit friends/family/mtn biking in Canada next year & would be on the west coast....
