Rhubarb wine is AWFUL!!! It is so bad, there must be something wrong with it. I can't even describe it. It is going to be only the second bottle ever I poured out.

    Luckily, I have backups...

The pot roast sure smells delicious, though!

    I LOVE the new avatar!

The jersey is awful - what were they thinking???

Sorry to hear about the wine.

At least the potroast will be good. The day can pretty much only get better from here, right?

What a crazy jersey. That is totally a penis.

Sorry about the wine. Sometimes an experiment has a bad outcome. But you just have to try new things.

I do like the grumpy pigeon picture.

I'm sure there was something wrong with the wine- not that I just didn't like it. Now I'm drinking a Turning Leaf Chardonnay, which I will not buy again, because it has no fruit tastes- only velvety, thick butter- but, oddly, not very oaky taste.

It's still raining. Good. We need it.

I've had such a bad day- I'm considering opening a bottle of Three Sisters Dahlonega Gold- a dessert wine- irreplaceable- which I had put in the fridge for a day when BF was having an awful day at work, which we didn't end up drinking.

    But no- not tonight.

I need to go to Target and get cool wrapping for my Secret Sister package. I had a great time with the last one.

I'm already worried about the July 200k. It's going to be hot- though how much hotter than 101F it can get, I don't know- but with all Clermont's hills, multiple times. The RBA is talking about starting at 5AM. That would be better- less time in the heat. Too bad because I frickin' wasn't paying attention today- I'll have even more trouble affording the hotel room.

But maybe some of the same cool people will go.

Was that a bad picture or did the admin blur it? Or is that what the jersey looks like?

No, that's it, and there are two more- one on each side! All the previous years' jerseys have been really pretty...

But no matter how awful it looks- it still didn't fit.

(I was trying to hold it- stretched out- with my foot <since it's been stuffed at the absolute bottom of the jersey drawer since I returned from the ride>- <so you could see the penis in all its glory>-and photograph it at the same time).

I'm trying to think of an excuse to not go to Pilates tonight. Stupid, since it's the only exercise I seem to get lately......

I have been having such a hard time motivating to go to the gym during the week. Grr. The only time I can go is 5:30 - 7 am, and I was in a routine where I was going twice a week, and doing weights and spinning. In May I got in a rut because I decided I needed some "recovery" time after Davis double, then a super hard 110 miler, then ESDC double - 3 tough weeks in a row. And recovery is great but now it's like I am just doing a double century or hard 100 miler every week and that's it.

Need some consistency. I swear I am going to the gym tomorrow.

When I'm up at 5:30 trying to convince myself to go run - I'll be thinking of you and sending you motivating thoughts

Thanks - that'll be what, 3:30 my time? Just when I should begin building my motivation.

So I went to the cough doctor today. Good timing. I'd gone off my inhalers after ESDC (just to see what would happen) and then couldn't do an easy ride Saturday without a complete attack of not being able to breathe. It was terrible. SO I guess I do have asthma. He also said I have a dust mite allergy. I wished I'd been allergic to my cat because that would explain a lot of the deep seated contempt I feel towards him.

    This thread rocks

Like anybody didn't already know that.

Nanci, I am still laughing about the grumpy picture with the biting pigeon. The laughter was tapering off, and then I read MP's comment about her contempt for the cat. Whew! Good one!

I've got two more match.com maybes, one gave me his number, said he'd be up at 10PM, and...didn't answer when I called. Who knows, it's not like we made a phone date, life happens, the emails have been nice, he looks adorable, and I'm an eternal optimist, it appears. The other guy sounds good, too, and is sober 12 years, so at least I wouldn't have to explain, "no, I really don't drink. No. Not at all. Not even wine. Nope. "

Watching the Ironman DVDs Nanci sent me, and feeling so inspired (not to do an IM, though, watching those complete Weebles totter over the finish line--YIKES ) Nanci, the anniversary one starts breaking up like a bad satellite transmission at about 40 min into it. Did it ever do that for you? The other one is fine, I put it in when the first one was going bonky, to make sure it wasn't my DVD player (we know my history with that, but it is a new machine...)

Oh, man. Still laughing about the grumpy avatar, penis jersey, rhubarb wine...contempt for cat. I think the cat + duct tape line was my favorite of all your sig lines, MP.

Yeah, I'm just chipper because the Green Hornet has two functioning wheels again. L.

PS, why do you think this site asteriks out "d*ck", but not "penis"? Sheesh!

I was making cupcakes and thought to myself - oops - 5:30am would be 3:30 for Sarah. I guess I'll have to think motivating thoughts for you when I get to work (around 6:45 here.
