Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

I was thinking MiniMe as well!!
(DD was almost Miranda until her dad asked "Why would you name her after a warning?")
Each day is a gift, that's why it is called the present.
I don't know what her registered name is, she was rescued and we have no papers for her (trying to work with the previous owner's mom to get them) but we've been calling her Char.

I haven't had my coffee yet-but immediately thought of Carbon Copy, Xerox and Mirror Image. She's a little beauty...Congratulations!

Hi! I've been lurking here for a while, not sure when I would jump into a discussion (I thought it would be a kitty thread). But since we're neighbors, I figured I'd join in now and say congratulations! If you want to stay with the snow theme, you're certainly in the right area. I would suggest "Lake Effect", but then the little one would need to be all white. Maybe "Just a Dusting"? I'm terrible with names. My cat had several during his first six months with me. And he had a few more with previous owners.
I was cycling in the Netherlands a few years ago and rode by a farm where I'm sure the foal was just born. It was raining lightly, but he had more of a slimy look, rather than just wet. And he was wobbly as he stood by Mom. I think I just stood and stared. What a beautiful sight!
If you don't mind my asking, is this one of the rescues that was on the news a few months ago? Thank you for taking care of her - that was a horrible story. But I enjoy hearing about the good people who make things better!
Sweet!
I did the "horse thing" for a long time from ~1985-2000. I had my own horses for a while and worked at polo barns, boarding stables and a small horse breeding farm. My last horse died of colic in 1994. I rode other people's horses after that. Just trail riding, a little dressage and small jumps.
Now I just ride bikes!

OK, so for her barn name we've settled on:
Katie Rose Venus-- because neither my MIL or I could agree on a name.
If I ever get the previous owner's wife to cough up papers for Char and the stud who knocked her up I'm thinking either "Powdered Sugar" or "Carbon Copy" (CiCi was one of the names we toyed with because of the Carbon Copy thing)
They're both doing amazingly. I've got my first cycling ride a week from today-- I think a lot of my time lately has been spent on horses and I hope I'm still ready for it.
