I've done my best to avoid test riding full carbon or steel - I didn't want the temptation. I have carbon wheels, handlebars, seatstays, seatpost, and fork on my aluminum frame - which dampens most of the chatter.

I was managing to resist temptation, and then I saw it weighs 18.5 lbs. Now I'm back to lusting and lecturing myself on fiscal responsibility.

The steel and carbon mix on LeMond bikes is awesome. The comforting cushiness of steel and enough stiffness from the carbon to keep it responsive. If this bike were my size, I'd be all over it.

She sold it. Someone got a great deal. Yeah, I bid on it and told my class to hold me back from bidding again...they just laughed.

Although technically it has sold, I haven't received payment yet. Based on buyer's feedback, that shouldn't be an issue. It was a great bike. I'm just possessed with mountain biking right now, and it was a waste just hanging there.

Look soon for a beautiful Salsa Ala Carte!!

I'd have bid, but the measurements were a little small. Ah well.

    Hope the transaction goes smoothly.
