It was very lucky that jacket does not come in orange as I'm already suffering from plastic abuse.

Why is that all the women's stuff is in girly colors?

Alice, just go back to page 1 of this thread and re-read the 12 steps. I feel you wavering. Remember...one wool at a time.

Personally I would never order the pale blue...reminds me of "suburban/ShipN'Shore/JCPenny". And black is cool, but not so great for biking and being seen in traffic.
I dream of MANGO yellow and bright Spring Lettuce Green!

With the miracle of the PI whisper vest in screaming lime yellow, I can wear any color wool I fancy and still be seen. (darn vest is an enabler, I tell you!)

Now if only I had some latitude left on my credit card... sigh

And here I'd promised myself not to buy any new cycling gear in January....

But I needed the long tights. Just ordered 'em. Thanks for the heads up. All they have left are L and XL, if anybody else is interested.

And add my voice to --

    MORE PLUS SIZES.

    MORE BRIGHT COLORS!

Of course I love purples, burnt oranges, golds/yellows. But we definitely need color!

Very funny woman! If I'm gonna put down some plastic for a nice dinner I think I'd rather take some girlfriends...

Does anyone have the IceBreaker Tech T-shirt? You can see it here: http://www.icebreaker.com/site/icebr...90_tech_t.html

I'm wondering what the sizing or rather the fit is like? Are they pretty snug and fitted? Going by the info on their website I would be a Small but I'm usually more of a medium so I'm a bit worried about ordering the small.

    Thanks!

I have an Icebreaker Tech Top zip-t neck. http://www.icebreaker.com/site/icebr...mb_value=Black It's a large, which is what I wear in just about every brand including Ibex (my gold standard). The tech top is about as fitted on me as on the model in the picture, maybe slightly looser.

If I were to order any other Icebreaker top, I'd feel pretty safe ordering a large again.

BTW, I love my Tech Top.

Thanks, that info is very helpful. I think I'll probably go for the Medium rather than the Small. I have an Ibex tshirt that I like the size of and it's a Medium too.

    Oldest woolies in your closet?

I just realized that I'm wearing 23 year old wool tights! I bought them in 1984 at Marks and Spencer in Edinburgh.

They make peachy long underwear, but they do itch a good bit at first.

I think my next oldest wooly is my fair-isle sweater, which is probably from the late 80's. After that my Swanni from 1991.

SHAGGE - The jacket has climawool "cirrus" on the front. How does that compare in weight to the "lite" on my el Fitos? Is it a lot heavier? Is the Dash Hybrid as a whole going to be warmer than my Switchback? A little more wind resistant?

How about the fabric on the back of the Dash Hybrid? How does it compare to the Switchback or el Fitos?

I *want* this jacket, especially at $115. But it's got to be a warmer heftier more outer-wear kind of jacket than my Switchback or I just can't justify it.
