ENGLEWOOD, Colo. and STAMFORD, Conn. – April 24, 2006 – EchoStar Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH) and its DISH Network™ and OLN today announced a multi-year agreement which restores the channel to DISH Network customers.

“It was important that we negotiated a fair contract, enabling DISH Network to remain a tremendous value for our customers,” said Eric Sahl, senior vice president of Programming. “We understand that this has been a difficult period for our customers, and we thank them for all their patience. We look forward to a long relationship with OLN in which we can provide the network to our customers.”

“We are very pleased that millions of DISH customers can once again enjoy OLN's terrific programming," said Gavin Harvey, President of the network. "DISH and OLN belong together, and I appreciate the spirit of partnership that reconnected us. We look forward to serving our very passionate — and extremely patient — fans of the NHL, Tour De France, Professional Bull Riding, and the best hunting and fishing on television.”

OLN returns to channel 151 in America’s Top 180, DishHD Gold or any higher programming package. National Hockey League fans can now catch exciting playoff action including tonight’s double-header involving the New York Rangers at New Jersey Devils at 7 p.m. (EDT), and the Colorado Avalanche at Dallas Stars at 9:30 p.m. (EDT). Thanks, Cali. I've had changing vendors on my to-do list for a while. The marketing drivel used in their response to my letter was insulting, but I guess I'll stay with them for awhile. Now, if they just had installers that knew what they were doing.

yep.... ever since they removed it... i've been procrastinating.... and debating on how i wanted to handle the TdeF..... i could have either switched to dish.... and HOPED that they let me have my east coast channels..... or i was more likely leaning toward just getting cable for a month with their silly box... and using a VCR instead of my PVR... (which i didn't really want to do... VCR is so archaic! lol!)

now i can stay with dish.... keep my pvr.... keep my east coast channels (except for nbc which for some reason they took away and refuse to give back... MEANIES!) hubby's already been looking at the schedule to see what cycling he's going to get to watch (between playing xbox that is! )

Oh, thank you, thank you!!! I have been going through withdrawal just wondering what I was going to do when the TdF came on. I watch it live in the morning and all the re-runs in the evening. I was considering switching from Dish.
