Also glad to report that Team USA took 5th place overall out of the 34 countries represented. This is only the SECOND year that Team USA has been to the IUKUL Worlds, so that makes it even more sweet
Ok, I will hush now about this awesome event

Curious what a big kettlebell competition looks like? Go here and sign up for a free account - this was the backup solution to the Team USA live streaming option, apparently their first choice didn't work well with the internet in Germany:

This is the last of 3 days. 34 countries with 540 competitors. The Veteran Women's competition starts at 9am Eastern today, USA women should be on the platform around 11 or 11:30. There are 3 women who fall in the veteran age class - in their 50's :-) Have fun!
added.....
As it turned out, the live feed went down before the veteran women started today :-( The three women, however, rocked and two of them took medals home. 1 gold, one silver. They were competing with the 24KG kettlebell - which means they were putting a 54 pound kettlebell over their heads for 10 solid minutes in the KB Snatch. Truly awesome work at ANY age, they are both in their lower-mid 50's.
