The handlebars and seat will need to be changed for sure and I have not put the clipless pedals on yet. Right now it is 22.8 pounds, so not super light but still about 10 pounds lighter than my other bike (Trek 7.2FX) despite being beefy. I think I could have done better getting the 47 instead of the 50, but I'm happy with it. I'm about to take the dog on a quick ride (2.5 mile loop where I mostly spin and he runs... I think he likes it better than when I "run" with him because I'm so slow lol) and see how it feels and rides before I make adjustments and go on my 18 mile ride

He wears a harness and a training leash (about a foot and a half) that I can grab if I need to, but for the most part he is "off-leash." He's a hunting dog, very well trained, plus we live out in the country so cars, houses, and people are infrequent. He knows to heel as soon as we hear a car, but for the most part he is allowed to trot up ahead or lag a little behind to sniff things.
I just switched out the tires. I love the look of the ones it came with but they are a bit impractical for everyday riding around here. These are cheapies from Nashbar but should be okay for now.
