Went for a 3.5 mi run yesterday & it was one of my worst ever. Tired, sluggish, no energy at all & walked more than half. Really made me not like running :/.

So I did get out for 2 runs last week...Friday and Saturday. It's summer now in FL so its hot and humid and I just trudge along slowly. Might make it out today after tile guy comes and gets started on phase 2 of the flooring. The stress of confining the many cats to one room and cleaning, moving more furniture AND still having to go to work some days (took an extra day off this week) is killing me! Hopefully a run will help!
    Keep running everyone!

My running has come to a standstill. Got a terrible cold over the weekend & it just won't subside. I love not having an appetite right now but am super bummed about not being able to run.

I actually ran intervals today for no other reason than to check out a new firmware update on my running watch. Slow and short - 8 x 600m at marathon pace - but the first intervals I've run in over two months.

I've been ramping up mileage a bit, but kind of dreading getting back into real training. So it was actually good to have a geeky gadgety reason to do a little speedwork. Hope everyone's feeling better.

I finally bought new running shoes. Even though I only run at boot camp, my old ones were falling apart. Of course, they stopped making the ones I had. Got another style of the same brand, Mizuno, but not sure if they will work. I walked 3 miles before leaving for San Diego and my left foot just hurt. It's the foot with the bunion. I am about to get out and go for a small run-walk for another test. My brother lives on a big hill...
I hope the LRS has an exchange policy.

Sounds like you had fun Oakleaf, and geeky gadgets DO help :-)

Crankin, have fun on your trip. Hope the new shoe works out, or your LRS will work with you if it doesnt! I will take your place on the "what did you eat" thread while you are gone - I need to be more consistent about that anyway. I do track, but there is something different about posting it where other people actually SEE it that does help.

I didn't go very far, but my foot did not hurt during the run/walk. I will keep testing it. I did not run or walk up the steep hill, but tomorrow I will. I keep thinking about what it would be like to ride up it. There's two parts, the first is short and then it flattens out and then proceeds straight up for at least 1/4 of a mile. It looks dreadful!
