I can't say enough good gushy things about my Colnago. It's 11 years old - the Ovalmaster in the Fred Rodriguez stars and strips paint job (when he won the US Nat'l championship and was riding for Mapei). It's taken me through many a brevet, even though it's such a "racy" bike. More comfy than you'd expect - and I bet the steel is even better (mine's ti and super stiff).
Thanks, everyone. It is, if you can imagine, more lovely in person. I've wanted to sell it before, but every time I took it out of it's packaging, I would just be overwhelmed with how pretty it is, and couldn't part with it.
I AM keeping my Ovalmaster - it's a pearly-lavender and just so pretty. Does yours have strange rear dropouts? Mine does - rear-facing so it tends to pull out when climbing unless massively clamped down. He's a very showy bike, so he only comes out for special rides.
For 3 days, I get to part of a thousand other journeys.
