Are the Brooks saddles B17 S (women's) or the regular men's model?

Thanks. I've been considering a Brooks for a while now. I'll have to go back and read Muirenn's excellent saddle fitting advice. My 10 year old Terry Butterfly must be breaking down because it no longer feels like a cloud underneath me. Maybe it's time for a Brooks. I'll compare the stats of the Butterfly and the Brooks and get back to you in a bit.

    Sure thing, Tulip.

(Longer answer now that I'm back on keyboard and not from phone.) Dunno if it helps but I am a 155 in Specialized and the Brooks fit me fine. I still have a Brooks on my touring bike. It's my most comfortable saddle. The only reason I'm selling is that on my bike with a bit more drop the Brooks isn't so comfy if I'm in the drops. If i'm on the tops or hoods I'm fine. I'm still a Brooks fan but for bikes with more aggressive position they didn't really work for me over a sustained time.

But everyone's geo is diff so I don't know if this info helps or not but there you go.

Who knows maybe I'll do all this saddle soul searching and end up back on a Brooks . For now, I'm channeling zoom-zoom and trying out all sorts of saddles. LOL.

Zoom-Zoom... I think it's time for some revenge isn't it???

My Terry Butterfly saddles are 155 and they have been great over the last 10 years. I have three, one on each bike.

Sooooo, after reading all sorts of posts about Brooks, I do think the B17 would be the one that would suit me the best.

    Sending you a PM.

Welcome to the forum. I can't really give you an equivalent t-shirt size for bike jerseys. The reason is that bike jersey fits seem to vary a lot. some are made to be more "casual" and thus, fit less snugly. These are often labeled "club" fit I believe. Others are made for a very form fitting fit and these are often labeled "pro" or some such. And lastly, I find that it varies by manufacturer but for me, specifically if they have a European fit. If so, then, for me, I find I have to size up.

Anyway, the jersey is sold and on its way. If you need helpful info on jersey sizing, I'd look thru the forum's Gear and Accessories area to ask for or search for helpful information from forumites. Also, the sponsor of this forum, team estrogen, is most helpful with helping folks with gear and advice. Give 'em a call.
