I am very sad, but very glad that he only had about one week of not really being well enough to get up out of bed and communicate very well. He passed in his sleep and he is blessed that he did not have to suffer very long.

He was a loving and caring Dad and when I was a kid, he was always the one who supported me in all my sporting endeavors. I will miss you, Dad.
    Spikewrench,

I am so sorry for your loss. Take care of yourself and try to focus on the positive memories. While death is never looked for, but at least he went quickly which is a positive thing in its own way.

    Dear weather gods,

It's been gorgeous and unseasonably warm this whole winter. Now that I'm supposed to pick up my new bike on Thursday, the forecast is for 23F and snow... NOT FUNNY!

    Signed,

    Give me a break

So true, meanwhile I promise to laugh, smile and raise a toast in his honor! Off to Yakima this weekend with the GF's to attend services for one of our Moms. We made a pact many years ago to be there for each other as we experience the loss of our parents. Was a god send for me when I lost my mom, hope you to have a good support crew.

    Dear Self,
The dental hygenist was not trying to kill you, really. Dental impressions won't kill you either. Having a panic attack really wasn't necessary. We can skip that next time.

    Dear Beth,

Dental phobias are real and nothing to be ashamed of. Find a dentist who understands and who will do your procedures under sedation if necessary.

    Dear self:

If you can't do anything else tomorrow, at least go for a walk. A good walk. It seems counterintuitive but it'll probably help your back.

    Dear self:
Stop worrying about that. You have other things to deal with. Go home, perhaps next weekend, and look when you get there.
Also, one day you're going to have to consider getting the rest of your stuff out of your parents' house.

    Dear body:
Let me sleep. I get it. No more evening caffeine. Today was weird. Tomorrow will be better.
At least I don't leave slime trails.
