    Sprint Tri on Saturday

This is suppose to be my race of redemption. I've got the allergy issues worked out. I've had strong runs and rides. I haven't swum since my HIM, but that's okay.

I want it to be fun, but I have goals too. I wouldn't be me if I didn't have goals.

Swim - 7 minutesish for the 400 yards.
Bike - 19 mph average pace for the 12, really flat miles.
Run - sub 10 min. average for the 3.1 miles. There is one good size hill on the run. I did hills on Sunday just to bolster my confidence. I WILL run up that hill. It's much easier than the big hill I did on Sunday!

with all the training you've been putting in lately, I have no doubt you're going to kill it out there (and sometimes not swimming for a while is just what you need to get in the water and fly through it).
Good luck!! Report back and let us know how your day went!!

See Jane Tri at Shadowcliffs in Pleasanton.

I've been so busy with work, I haven't really had much time to think about it. When I first signed up I was going to be in the second wave, which I was really thrilled about because it meant fewer slower riders to need to pass on the bike. The race got USAT accredited and now I'm the last wave and the race has sold out.

I'm glad so many women are getting into tri, but I really wish we could self seed in these shorter races according to our bike times. Hopefully, the officials will make sure that riders aren't riding two or three abreast (a problem in the past.)
