The SO and I were riding the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes last weekend. It's a beautiful and totally flat trail that runs through trees and marshes and quaint little cities.
We were part of a loosely associated group of about 100 recumbent bikers/trikers.
We stopped in Wallace for lunch and sat down at a table with some people we vaguely recognized as being part of the recumbent group and had a lovely lunch. At the end of lunch, the waitress didn't bring us a bill. When we asked, it turned out she included us with these 2 other guys, whom we didn't know, who sat down at the table next to us at the same time we sat down - and they paid our bill!
Two days later, we were driving home and stopped in Harrison Idaho for lunch. A guy came in needing a place to sit and we invited him to join our table - turns out he was the guy who bought us lunch in Wallace!
When the waitress asked us if we wanted individual or a single bill - he said individual and Ian and I said "one!"
Life is just interesting sometimes.
