Haha oak - I now have a really funny visual in my head. But I don't think it smells like sheep...more almost mildewy/rotten. Unless that's what wet sheep smell like. I usually use Arm & Hammer laundry detergent but maybe I need to switch.
(I've smelled the rotten smell in clothes before, in an apartment with a washer that was growing...something...in it, but at that time ALL of my clothes smelled yucky. Maybe the wool is just more sensitive and this is my warning sign)

lph, the skirt looks like this:

But, it seems like this one is longer than the one I have. Mine is above the knee. Maybe it's just my perception. I got it for half price, in the summer, a couple of years ago.

I am a true wool weenie today. Icebreaker wool skirt, Ibex wool t-shirt and a Neve wool sweater over it. If my Smartwool VFF's were the charcoal color, I'd have them on as well!
I received my package from Sierra tradingpost last night. Two gorgeous wool sweaters from Neve and a wool wrap for me, and just to allieviate some guilt - a gorgeous wool sweater (also Neve) for my husband. Ah...wool!
(oh, and he loved the Ibex blanket as a V-day gift!)

As it turns out, the shorts I traded with Red for are just a little too large for me, or my body doesn't like the padding material - or both - but sadly I cannot wear them. However, if there is someone else who wanted to try them out let me know! I would be open to trading for something else wool, but it isn't absolutely necessary. The Ibex shorts are size medium.

Sorry those didn't work out for you. Like any shorts (or saddles), they either work for you or not. They were highly reviewed on Ibex and a lot of people loved them, so hopefully they will find a good home.
I love the jersey, btw. I can't wait until it's warm enough for short sleeves!

It is a lovely jersey, and I am glad I had two of them! The black is nice but I do like the blue better.
I am still unsure if the problem with the shorts is they are just large enough to cause the padding to chafe/itch as my body movesor if it is the actual padding material that I am sensitive to that causes the itching. Regardless they are nice shorts and I think they would be great under tights for now, or by themselves in another month for someone who can wear them
Oh my goodness LPH, I shouldn't have looked at that!
How is their sizing?

As far as I know their sizing is a little snug. In most clothing I'm a standard S, but I'm broad over the shoulder, upper back and upper arm, so I sometimes have trouble getting closely tailored tops to fit. I bought the Ever dress in both sleeveless and longsleeved - I could squeeze into the S, wool is forgiving, but fit much better into the M.
As maybe shows on the photo it's close but not stuck to me around the shoulder and upper torso, then flares gently out from the base of my ribs. If you're petite in the upper body you're more likely to fit the standard size.
