I just cannot fathom how you do your races, or even train, in that heat.

Nice job roadie gal!!!! I live in Sac and the heat always gets me. I am an admitted weather wimp, and don't train as much in the summer because of the heat. But that being said, I am trying to do more this year.
I volunteered at the Tri For Fun on Sat because I just didn't feel my swimming was up to the distance. I'm still struggling with the whole breathing thing. And looking back I probably could have done it - what a wimp. I'm going to try the one in July and see if I can get the swimming together. For volunteering I got a $40 voucher from TBF for entry to another event, so I'll use it in July.
Initially I was going to go back out on Sunday to watch, and test ride a Specialized mountain bike. But I wanted to sleep in and relax, so I didn't make it out there. I know it was cooking though.
You did great!!!!
Ride your ride.
I think it's because I sweat like a pig.Seriously, my cooling system seems to kick in pretty quickly. It was 65 degrees in the gym this morning and I was drenched from doing hamstring curls.
Cold just seems to sap my energy.
