I didn't even think about there being a local store, and thankfully the only Apple store in Indiana is about 15 miles from my apartment I have an appointment this morning.

I have an iPhone and certainly had no problem with warranty service from the local store - guess I was just too tired last night to think about this. I purchased it from a third-party distributor, but of course the warranty still applies.
